NOAA Buoy Finder provides access to live data from over 750 buoys located throughout North America, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean. These buoys offer valuable information such as wave heights, wave periods, wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, water temperature, atmospheric pressure, pressure tendency, and dew point.

The app features a marine weather map that allows users to easily locate available buoy stations. Once a desired station is found, simply tap on it to obtain detailed readings. Favorite weather buoys can be saved for quick access on iPhone and Apple Watch. Additionally, buoy stations can be added to the list of favorite locations for easy reference.

One notable feature of Buoy Finder is its offline functionality, ensuring that the latest observations are always accessible for each buoy station. Furthermore, the app utilizes a satellite scanner to provide sea surface temperatures (SST) for nearly any location worldwide.

In addition to buoy data, Buoy Finder also provides accurate weather conditions and forecasts for over 2 million locations globally. Users can search for buoy stations using the map, station ID, or keywords related to their location.

The app offers detailed screens that provide comprehensive information at a glance. It also includes an Apple Watch app for convenient access to the latest observations from buoys or ground stations. Users can utilize Spotlight to quickly navigate to their favorite locations and easily share data via social media platforms and email.
